GLF Schools was founded in 2012 in order to enable the federation of Glyn School (an academy in 2011) and Danetree Junior School. Together, we began our journey to become a MAT of more than 1000 talented staff working with over 10,000 children in 40 schools across 5 regions in southern England.

GLF Schools Boundless Festival Spelling Bee Competition

We were all so proud of the five year 6 and 5 pupils who took part in the Regional Qualifier Round with two of our cluster schools, Windmill Primary and Floreat Monteagle Park Primary school yesterday afternoon. Reuben (Conifer class), Evie (Hawthorn class), Jas (Conifer), Nathan (Maple) and Vihaan (Hazel) were selected to take part and did incredibly well in both rounds. In the first round, each school worked together as a team to spell 20 words correctly which we did successfully. The second round was the elimination round and each school put forward one pupil to spell a given word. They then shared the word on the whiteboard reading and spelling it aloud. Any incorrect spelling meant the pupil was eliminated. The round consisted of 42 spellings and Frogmore managed an incredible 40 correct spellings! We came second with only one point between us and Floreat who won the Qualifier and will go to the next round later in June against other Regional Qualifier winners.
