It's all about kindness at Frogmore Juniors!

Last year, we were visited by the charity 52 Lives whose mission is based on the simple premise that people are good, and lots of good people working together can achieve amazing things. We believe that kindness has the power to change people's lives, strengthen communities and ultimately change the world - while improving our own well-being at the same time. Following this visit we have been invited to join their network of schools involved in their Kindness Ambassador programme.

A Kindness Ambassador is a child in each class who has been recognised as a recognised as a role model for spreading kindness across the school. They are tasked with the responsibility of encouraging more kindness in their class, school and local community. Each term, they will work with the other Kindness Ambassadors in our school to plan kind things to do in their classrooms, school or community. Our Kindness Ambassadors for this year are:

Oak - Ritika

Elm - Henry

Palm - Alyssia

Pine - Seren

Hazel - Ella Rose

Maple - Gethin

Conifer - Caspar

Hawthorn - Frank

Our ambassadors will be part of a wider network of school Kindness Ambassadors from other primary schools. In order to share their ideas and successes with the 52 Lives charity and their network of other schools, our Kindness Ambassadors will have the opportunity to attend half-termly Zoom meetings with the rest of the 52 Lives Kindness Ambassador network.

On Monday 10th February, the Kindness Ambassadors delivered an assembly to the whole school to celebrate Random Acts of Kindness Week which takes place over half term. In this assembly they revealed a set of Kindness Challenges for the rest of the school that they will be given each week to try and spread some extra kindness across the school next half term. Any children who complete the Kindness Challenge of the week will receive double kindness points!
