We achieved 'Gold' again for being a Rights Respecting school!
What a real delight it was to receive the email from UNICEF in the first week back confirming that we continue to meet the standard for UNICEF UK’s Rights Respecting Schools Award at Gold.
Back in July, we had our Gold re-accreditation which was very positive, but we were warned we wouldn’t know the final outcome until the new term.
The report comments on the strength of the school, for example:
‘Frogmore has very articulate children who demonstrated good knowledge and understanding of rights.’
‘There is a caring and inclusive ethos where staff and children ensure that everyone, particularly those with learning differences or a disability, feel supported and fully involved in school life.’
‘The school’s work on health and wellbeing, in particular the consideration of mental health and emotions were notably strong.’
‘Pupil voice is valued highly and there are a good range of pupil voice groups. Children felt listened to and that their views matter.’
A massive thank you to Mrs Doughty and the rights respecting group particularly, but also all the pupils and staff who create a safe and inspiring place to learn, where children are respected, their talents are nurtured, and they are able to thrive.
